Qantas Business Class (Part 1) – Sydney to London (QF 1) – Airbus A380-800

This trip report is the first part of two videos looking at a Qantas Business Class journey on an Airbus A380-800 from Sydney to London Heathrow.

The video begins with a complimentary chauffeur ride in an Audi SUV to Sydney Kingsford-Smith airport where I’m conveniently dropped off near the Qantas check-in counters. After a modest wait at the Business Class check-in queue, I’m issued my boarding pass and on my way to visit the International Business Class lounge to enjoy a tasty meal.

It’s soon time to board QF 1 to Dubai. Before the plane takes to the skies, I show you the Qantas A380 Business Class seat (aka Skybed Mark II) & cabin in exquisite detail.

During the long flight to the UAE, the lie-flat bed, IFE, meal service, amenity kit and in-flight lounge are thoroughly reviewed.

The arrival into Dubai is delayed due to a mechanical issue encountered prior to take-off. Although QF 1 leaves Sydney 2 hours late, the pilots managed to reduce the delay to an hour. Before disembarking QF 1 to transit to the flight to London, I am given a memorable tour of the A380 cockpit.
