Opinioni sul corso Marketing Merenda di Alessandro Rocco
Alessandro Rocco di “W la Dislessia” condivide con noi le sue impressioni sul corso “Marketing Merenda Titans 2017” tenutosi a Vienna.
L’azienda di Alessandro si occupa di ragazzi con difficoltà di apprendimento, fornendo ai genitori un sostegno per seguire i figli nelle questioni pratiche (tipo i compiti) e insegnando strategie su come affrontare il problema nel migliore dei modi.
Ovviamente la parte predominante dell’attività di “W la Dislessia” consiste nel lavorare direttamente con i ragazzi fornendo loro delle strategie mirate a migliorare le loro performance in tutte quelle attività che potrebbero creare frustrazioni.
Alessandro partecipa al corso Marketing Merenda già convinto della sua scelta, se non fosse che per sua indole è tendenzialmente diffidente degli eventi in cui “troppe persone ne parlano bene”. Capisce comunque che questo corso può essere molto importante per lui e quindi decide di partecipare.
Alessandro è consapevole che partecipare al corso è solo l’inizio di uan serie di attività da mettere in pratica in seguito grazie alle informazioni che verranno fornite, e sa perfettamente che l’implementazione delle strategie richiederà un impegno costante e “fare, fare, fare …”.
Nell’ultimo anno l’azienda di Alessandro sta affrontando nuove sfide, sia sul web che offline, con l’obiettivo di “esportare” la sua struttura e il suo metodo in tutta Italia. E’ consapevole che per poterlo fare avrà bisogno di strumenti più efficaci che lo porti ad essere più conosciuto.
Alessandro trova molto interessante l’interazione tra le varie persone che si susseguono sul palco di Marketing Merenda, con Frank Merenda “presenza costante ed inimitabile”, e con tutti gli interventi delle altre persone che portano a rafforzare quanto detto da Frank o aggiungere degli elementi di innovazione.
La presenza di Dan Kennedy ha lasciato il segno in Alessandro, tanto che sentir ripetere concetti più volte presentati da Frank Merenda direttamente da uno dei suoi principali insegnanti, gli è servito per rafforzare ancora di più la comprensione dei passaggi che dovrà afrontare per realizzare il suo progetto.
Dei tanti concetti portati da Dan Kennedy Alessandro è rimasto colpito dal “aggiungi uno zero e vedrai che poi tutto va a sistemarsi”. Quindi l’idea di proporre valore e non un prodotto, in modo da uscire dal classico schema prodotto/prezzo.
Alessandro ritiene che qualunque persona abbia un’azienda si deve mettere in testa che il marketing è un aspetto fondamentale per portare avanti l’impresa con successo, in particolare in questo periodo di maggior difficoltà.

Thе соmраnіеѕ wіth 1 – 10 еmрlоуееѕ tурісаllу receive a median ореn rate of 35.3% аnd a mеdіаn сlісk rаtе of 6.9%, and соmраnіеѕ with 26 – 200 employees rесеіvе a mеdіаn ореn rate of 32.3% and a mеdіаn сlісk rate оf 6.3%.
Cоmраnіеѕ with 11 – 25 еmрlоуееѕ: Thеіr ореn rаtеѕ аrе highest whеn thеу ѕеnd 31+ еmаіl campaigns a mоnth. At thаt frequency, thеѕе соmраnіеѕ typically hаvе a mеdіаn open rаtе оf 32.4%. But thаt frеԛuеnсу isn’t whеrе thеу gеt thе mоѕt clicks — they gеt thе most сlісkѕ at thе 16 – 30 monthly еmаіl frеԛuеnсу, with a mеdіаn сlісk rаtе оf 6.7%.
Cоmраnіеѕ with over 201 employees: Thеіr optimal frеԛuеnсу wаѕ muсh lower thаn оthеr company sizes. Thеіr hіghеѕt median open rаtе (32.2%) was fоund аt thаt 3 – 5 mоnthlу email саmраіgn frequency, and thе hіghеѕt mеdіаn сlісk rate (7.0%) wаѕ found durіng thе 6 – 15 monthly еmаіl саmраіgn frеԛuеnсу.

Deadmau5, real name Joel Zimmerman, is one of the biggest electronic music acts in the US and his anti-marketing approach has been a huge success. He has found a way to really connect with the growing EDM audience.
Joel is not competing directly with these traditional pop acts but he has had two top ten albums on the US Billboard charts, as well as regularly topping the dance charts. But it is his approach to self-promotion and the way he interacts with his audience that we’re interested in today. Although some of this is unique to music, there are interesting lessons to be learnt about honesty and openness with your customers, as well as getting the balance right between promoting but not overdoing it.
In a blog post, Joel makes the analogy with a roller coaster. Even if everyone loves the rollercoaster, they’re eventually going to get sick of it. We know this is true; products and services have a lifespan. They either reach saturation or a competitor creates a better or cheaper option. This is why you need a theme park; a rich variety of experiences, some small, some big. Not only does this attract a wider audience but it also keeps the core audience more engaged. It’s all about building a world.
For businesses, the point of creating this world is that your customers feel like they are getting more from you than just the product or service that they paid for. And the benefit works two ways. For the customer, they get better support and advice, as well as some entertainment, depending on the kind of world you build. For you, the business, you create a core audience that you don’t really need to sell to; they are already involved, they know what new things are coming up and when they’re going to be available. They are practically marketing you to each other.
When it comes to Joel’s honesty, he combines it with a dry sense of humour. Just look at his album titles:
