CMI is responsible for producing Content Marketing World, the largest content marketing event in the world, as well as the leading content marketing magazine, Chief Content Officer. Social Media Marketing Explained

You hear alot of buzzwords going around at the moment like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest and Google+. Also there are a lot of businesses getting on social media channels because it seems like the in thing to do or if they don’t they will be missing out on something.

So in this video, I talk about the purpose behind social media marketing which is based on 2 reasons:
1. Branding and reputation management
2. Website traffic

Then I go into how to think about social media marketing in terms of strategy and the thinking behind it. In future videos, I’ll go more in depth on the actual implementation side but if you’re a newbie or just starting out in the marketing and social media world, then check out the video.
