Kenya listed as among most improved in terms of business environment

Kenya’s reforms to encourage private sector growth earned it the 108th position in the 2016 Ease of Doing Business Report by the World Bank. This is an improvement of 28 places from the 136th position reported the previous year. The reforms included introduction of Huduma Centres for Business Registration, access to electricity, credit facilities and land reforms. The World Bank Group said there still was great potential in improving the business climate especially in Construction permits that saw a retrogressive growth.
