Travel Vlogging is always a bit fun for me. But this time it was really special because it was my first cross-continental flight to the west coast. It was something truly special that I’ve been looking forward to for a long time. I was attending social media marketing world as a volunteer and building up my cadence to one day be a speaker at the event.
There were so many great moments that came from being a part of this event and even just taking the trip itself. I got to meet good friends from the internet in person for the first time. It felt in many ways like going to block party after moving into a new neighborhood.
I’m also learning that travel gear really is important and matters, especially for lengthy trips. I actually need a lot less than I typically bring with me and that is something I’m going to be doing better about. I’ve also started to decide that for filming I need dedicated travel gear, and so I will be making that investment to make my life a lot easier going forward.
While I was at social media marketing world I got to finally meet Amy Schmittauer in person. That was a blast considering our online friendship and the fact that she is the one who actually inspired this entire series of vlogs.
