From the time I started my career in professional football, fitness was fundamental to everything I did—including how I handled my finances.

Just as I didn’t want to be someone who flamed out of the NFL after a couple of seasons due to injuries, I didn’t want to be one of those guys who ended up dead broke after their playing career was over. And pretty quickly, I discovered that fitness and finance shared a lot more than that.

Throughout my career I’ve primarily been the David – only occasionally the Goliath

I can tell you Goliath has a major advantage in marketing – but they are vulnerable

If you have the right David, you can knock off Goliath

Yesterday a man scaled the Trump Tower in Manhattan with suction cups.

And while he was eventually Caught, he trended on social media throughout the day –

His video explaining why he did it reached 2 million views so far

And while we don’t condone this type of activity but there is a lesson here

If you want to play David, and reach Goliath’s customers, you need to get attention – He got the attention

Over the past three centuries—from governments to businesses and beyond—had to be ‘Big’ (“Goliath”) to survive.

But now, with social media now small organizations and individuals (“David”) can compete on a level playing field.

How can your company beat the Goliath in your industry? How can you leverage social media to create attention grabbing events – LEGALLY
