Mutagamba calls for more investment in marketing Uganda’s tourism potential

The Minister of Tourism Wildlife and Antiquities, Hon Maria Mutagamba says there is a need to intensify marketing of Uganda’s tourism potential.

She says beyond external and domestic challenges affecting the sector, the country’s budgetary allocation to tourism is still too thin compared to what regional peers are investing in the sector.
This is in spite the current pressure to attract volume of visitors across the region under the single tourist visit.

EPSN reports the UFC are in talks to sell the business, and the leading candidate is the Dalian Wanda Group, which has the richest man in China, Wang Jianlin, as their Chairman. The valuation for the UFC is around .5 to 4 billion.

Dana inquired and found he could sell it for maybe 4 to 6 million dollars, but then Lorenzo decided the next morning to just continue to keep going. Things turns around a few months later after The Ultimate Fighter reality series on Spike TV brought the UFC into the mainstream.
In 2010, Flash Entertainment, which is owned by the Abu Dhabi government, bought 10% of the UFC.
So right now the Fertitta Brothers own 40.5% each of the business, Flash Entertainment owns 10%, and Dana White owns 9%.
