This week, Tiege Hanley ordered their packaging after going back-and-forth for weeks. The matte black with gloss logo and gloss cap won hands-down. It’s luxury, high-end, and masculine. A custom order of 10,000 packages was placed which is a big roll of the dice and a lot of money!

The whole process is taking longer than any of the partners thought. Apparently, however, Tiege Hanley has been getting to launch quicker than what is customarily seen with start-ups.
So, why is Tiege Hanley quicker? First, the partners are seasoned business men and have experience starting a business. Further, they realize that not everything will be ‘perfect’. Tiege Hanley is ‘running fast and hard’ as well as ‘getting things done’ unlike the slower pace of new business owners and entrepreneurs.
Many new business owners start with a business plan which is prudent especially if you need funding, financing, or a bank loan. For Tiege Hanley, they came together about the idea and brainstormed. Each partner worked on tasks related to their core competency. As a result, they’ve progressed more rapidly in relation to typical start-ups.
Even with the rapid progress, the lead time from packaging to filling to selling is weeks and possibly delaying the projected launch date. When you have custom packaging made, you need to be aware of this lead time. Steps for Tiege Hanley include:
